boutique description
In 2007, Del Bo - the historic Treviso boutique opened in 1896 and specializing in lingerie and beachwear since 1997 - gave way to Marè: beachwear year-round, offered in an exclusive environment. Though the shop retails a limited range of brands, each has a strong identity and all boast the coveted "Made in Italy" label, which perfectly fits the store’s philosophy and image. In May 2013, Marè - led by Guido Pomini, 5th generation head of the store - moved into a new space deemed more consistent with the positioning and evolution of the offer, located in one of the most prominent fashion streets in the city. The interior was redesigned in line with distribution trends that focus on a more ethical and eco-responsible point of sale approach. Here, the idea is to create a luxury effect from the innovative reuse of "poor" or everyday materials. Thus, the stars of the store are wood and recycled materials: light teak and dark briccola wood, sourced from the waters of the Venetian lagoon, serve to cover the furniture of the previous shop, while rusted iron and old shutters find a second life as both functional and decorative elements. At Marè, each brand is presented within its own space featuring a thoughtful curation of products, in keeping with the store concept. The store’s swimwear offer, which incorporates accessories and handcrafted jewelry, expands during the winter season to include chic and cosy loungewear. Displayed items are not hung from crowded racks but "suspended", one by one, from modular structures that allow the space to be transformed when hosting cultural or fashion events. Research and selection, an engaging atmosphere, and personalized service with openings by appointment: these well-considered touches are how Marè retains its high-end clientele, demanding and accustomed to indulgent treatment, that hails from the country’s north-east but also from around the world. Indeed, the shop’s reopening was punctuated by the launch of the online store in Italian, English and Russian, in a digital space that mirrors the physical shop. Truly a leading example to follow, as Marè also received an award highlighting its beautiful interior at the 2014 edition of the Stelle dell'Intimo contest.
